San Antonio, TX -SABCS 2007: L to R: Stephen Stein, of Glaxo-SmithKline, announces the McGuire award to Dr. Mitchell Dowsett, of Institute of Cancer Research/Royal Marsden NHS Trust London, United Kingdom. Dowsett presented his paper on "Biomarking the oestrogen dependence of breast cancer" during the William L. McGuire Memorial Lecture at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium here today, Friday December 14, 2007 in the Henry Gonzalez Convention Center. Over 8,000 physicians, researchers, clinicians, caregivers and cancer survivors from over 60 countries gathered to hear the latest developments in Breast Cancer research and treatment.
